RAJU RAMACHANDRAN

Mr. Raju Ramachandran is a Senior Counsel in Supreme Court. He is a South Indian man but born and brought up at New Delhi.

Born on 14th May, 1954 and was a student of St. Stephen’s College, Delhi. He joined the Legal Profession in July, 1976 and did juniorship of Late Mr. “M.K. Ramamurthi” Senior Advocate. Later after when he started his independent practice he qualified Advocate on Record Exam in Supreme Court and became an AOR.

Very Laborious and hard working lawyer came in limelight and Judges of Supreme Court in Year 1996 designated him as a “Senior Advocate”.

Later on he contested election of SCBA and was elected vice President of Supreme Court Bar Association.

After watching his enormous command on Law the National Democratic Alliance Government, appointed him “Additional Solicitor General of India” and he gave good results to his client (The Union Government).

He has argued several important cases in Supreme Court in various branches of law including Constitutional Law, Administrative Law, Service Law etc.

Mr. Ramachandran was appointed as an “Amicus Curie” by Apex Court to defend “Mohd. Ajmal Amir Kasab” the Terrorist and the main Accused of 2008 Mumbai attacks of 26/11, to plead before Supreme Court. Similarly many notable cases has been argued by him including “Delhi Nirbhaya Gang Rape Case” etc.

Several times he came on television and news Channels on Legal Debate. He is equal competent in both civil and criminal cases.
